India's Pace Attack
With Mohammed Shami still in recovery, India's fast-bowling lineup remains strong with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Akash Deep leading the charge. Akash, who has impressed in recent matches, retains his spot, while Prasidh Krishna returns after recovering from a stress fracture and delivering a stellar performance in the Duleep Trophy.

New Faces: Harshit Rana & Nitish Reddy
Delhi's Harshit Rana, who played a key role in his IPL team’s title win, has earned his Test call-up after proving himself in India’s white-ball teams. Andhra's Nitish Reddy, a versatile medium-pace all-rounder, is also moving up quickly, having made a strong impact in the IPL and his T20I debut.

The squad will also take along reserves: Mukesh Kumar, Navdeep Saini, and Khaleel Ahmed to reinforce the pace lineup as needed.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav, dealing with a chronic groin injury, is focusing on recovery at the BCCI Centre of Excellence. All-rounder Axar Patel has also been left out this time, while Washington Sundar will take up a key role in India's spin attack.
