'Bumrah ka sath dene ke liye bowler nahi hai': Basit Ali on India's concern ahead of Border-Gavaskar Trophy

India Suffers Shocking Defeat in Cricket Test Match
India had a tough time in their first innings, getting out for just 46 runs, their lowest score ever in a Test match at home. This poor performance played a big part in their rare defeat at home. Although the Indian batters did better in the second innings, there was another collapse towards the end, where they lost seven wickets for only 54 runs.

Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali shared his thoughts on this, saying, "Will India bounce back in the next two matches against New Zealand? Yes! We (Pakistan) just won a Test after almost four years. India, on the other hand, has lost only three Test matches in the last one and a half years and has won every series. Pakistan has been losing series at home, and our situation is not great."

He also mentioned that this defeat could help India learn before their upcoming tour of Australia. "Let’s see how Gautam Gambhir handles this. Rahul Dravid did well before. This loss could be a wake-up call for India ahead of the Australia series," Basit added.

He said that India needs to think about fast bowlers for the Australia tour. "Bumrah will need two other fast bowlers with him in Australia. Right now, Bumrah doesn’t have a good pace bowling partner. If Shami gets fit before the Australia tour, it will be very important for India. The batting looks good though. Rohit (Sharma) scored a fifty, and Virat (Kohli) scored 70 runs. These are good signs. Sarfaraz (Khan) hit 150 runs and played really well. Rishabh Pant is already a strong Test player," Basit added.
