Canada PM Trudeau’s Anti-India Stance: ‘Khalistanis Are Misleading Him’

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been making big claims against India without solid proof, according to intelligence sources speaking to CNN-News18. They believe Trudeau is trying to please Khalistani and ISI supporters by accusing India, even though he has publicly admitted that he doesn’t have strong evidence.

What Did Trudeau Say? Trudeau has accused Indian agents of being involved in the 2023 killing of Khalistani extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada. India has completely denied this. In a statement to a commission investigating the case, Trudeau admitted that Canada only has "intelligence" but no hard evidence. Despite this, he continues to point fingers at India.

Why Is Trudeau Doing This? Sources say that Trudeau is being influenced by politicians in the Canadian Parliament who support the Khalistan movement. They believe he’s using these unproven accusations to stir up political drama at home. “Trudeau is not acting like a responsible prime minister,” said one source, adding that his actions have damaged relations between Canada and India.

What Really Happened to Nijjar? According to some sources, Sikh youths who were arrested by the Canadian police said that Nijjar’s death was due to gang violence, not a plot by India. Despite this, Trudeau seems to be pushing the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to find evidence linking India to the crime.

Political Diversion? Maxime Bernier, leader of the People’s Party of Canada, has also criticized Trudeau, saying that he is using Nijjar’s death to distract from other political scandals. Bernier also pointed out that Nijjar was a foreign terrorist who somehow got Canadian citizenship in 2007.

“So far, there is no proof, and Trudeau is clearly using this crisis to divert attention,” Bernier said.

India’s Response India has hit back at Trudeau, accusing him of using this situation to advance his own political goals. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said Trudeau’s actions are helping anti-India groups and warned that it’s hurting relations between the two nations.

India even withdrew its ambassador to Canada, Sanjay Kumar Verma, after Trudeau’s government named him and other Indian officials as “persons of interest” in the investigation. This has sparked a major diplomatic spat between the two countries, with India criticizing Canada for being too soft on Khalistan supporters living there.
