Chandrababu Naidu Announces Plan to Make Andhra Pradesh India’s Drone Hub

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu shared big plans to make Andhra Pradesh the "Drone Capital of India" at the Amaravati Drone Summit 2024. Speaking to innovators, drone makers, and experts, he said Andhra Pradesh will become a leader in drone technology.

Naidu announced that 300 acres of land in Orvakallu, Kurnool District, will be used to build a special area for drones, which will help make Amaravati a global center for drone manufacturing and innovation.

To support the growing need for drone experts, Naidu also said the state will train 35,000 drone pilots. This will create jobs and help meet the demand for skilled workers in the industry. He also mentioned that a new drone policy would be released in the next 15 days to make it easier for companies to do business in Andhra Pradesh.

He also expressed confidence in India becoming one of the world's top three economies by 2047, praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts in putting India on the global stage. Naidu highlighted the importance of technology and data, pointing out that 400 million terabytes of data are generated every day. He stressed the need to build a strong environment for tech industries in the state, focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud technologies.

In conclusion, Naidu said that drones, AI, and other new technologies will play a big role in improving the economy of Andhra Pradesh and the whole country.
