Elon Musk Shares His View on Abortion Ban

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on Sunday that if a baby can live outside the womb, it shouldn’t be aborted, and ending the pregnancy at that point would be like murder. Musk shared this view during a rally in Pennsylvania where he was asked about his thoughts on abortion.

Musk didn’t fully support a national ban on abortion, saying the issue is complicated. He explained, "In my opinion, which some might not like, if a baby can survive outside the womb, then it cannot be aborted. At that point, it’s no longer abortion, it’s murder."

He also talked about how people often scare girls and women by saying that their life will be over if they get pregnant. Musk disagreed with this, saying, "There’s nothing better than having kids. My children bring me more joy than anything else in my life. It’s natural to love your children, and having a child will make you happier than anything else."

Musk mentioned that former President Donald Trump, who is running for president again, has promised to block any national ban on abortion if he wins the election in November. Trump has also taken credit for the Supreme Court’s decision in June 2022, which reversed Roe v. Wade, a law that had protected the right to abortion. Three of the justices Trump chose helped make that decision.
