Former Indian Ambassador to China, Gautam Bambawale, has praised the recent agreement between India and China on border patrolling. This deal has helped bring the situation at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh back to how it was before the deadly Galwan clash in 2020. In an interview with ANI, Bambawale said the Indian government deserves credit for standing firm and securing this important outcome after years of tension with China.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar confirmed that the agreement restores the status along the border to what it was before the Galwan incident. This is a big achievement in improving relations between India and China, which had been strained since the clash.
Check out the full video for Bambawale’s thoughts on how this deal could affect the future of Indo-China relations.
