India and China Agree on Border Patrol Along LAC: Big Step Toward Peace

New Delhi: In a major breakthrough, India and China have agreed on new patrolling rules along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, announced Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. After weeks of talks between both countries, this new arrangement is expected to help reduce tensions and eventually lead to the complete disengagement of troops at the border.

Foreign Secretary Misri shared that the recent discussions focused on resolving the ongoing issues along the India-China border since the clashes in 2020. Misri believes this step will help both sides return to normalcy after the difficult border standoff, which tragically led to the loss of 20 Indian soldiers in 2020.

He explained, "As a result of the talks in recent weeks, an agreement on patrolling along the LAC has been reached, which is expected to lead to disengagement and, ultimately, resolve the issues that started in 2020."

This important news comes just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to travel to Kazan, Russia for the BRICS Summit.
