Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared exciting news at the NDTV World Summit, saying India is moving forward with a fresh, "look ahead" approach. He explained that India’s goal is to become a fully developed country by 2047, which is part of a new mindset for the future.
Modi said, “In the past, we often compared what the current government did with the previous ones. But now, we are focused on what we want to achieve, not what we’ve done before. We’re looking forward, not backward. Our vision for a developed India by 2047 is part of this new way of thinking.”
India as a Hopeful Light in Tough Times
PM Modi also talked about the tough challenges the world has faced in the last few years. The pandemic brought economic problems, rising prices, and unemployment, followed by wars in Ukraine and West Asia. But, he pointed out, India has been a "beacon of hope" during these tough times.
He said, "In India, we talk about the ‘India Century.’ We are a light of hope while many other countries are struggling. There are challenges, but we remain positive."
India’s Digital Revolution and Innovation
PM Modi also highlighted how India is leading the way with digital technology while staying true to its democratic values. He said, “In many countries, private companies led the digital revolution, but not everyone got the benefits. India created a new model by making technology available to everyone. We showed the world how to build public digital infrastructure.”
Big Achievements in Just 125 Days
Modi was proud of the achievements of his government in just the first 125 days of their third term:
1. 3 crore new homes built for poor families.

He emphasized how quickly these big changes have happened.
India’s Future with AI (Artificial Intelligence)
PM Modi said, “This is the age of artificial intelligence (AI), and the future of the world is tied to AI. While for the world, AI stands for Artificial Intelligence, for India, AI means Aspirational India. We’ve started the AI mission this year and are using AI in many sectors to improve the country.”
Tackling Climate Change
PM Modi also spoke about the importance of fighting climate change. He said, “Climate change is a big problem for the world, and we’re doing our part. Even though our contribution to global warming is small, we’re working hard to reduce carbon emissions and use green energy. We’re looking for solutions to protect the environment.”
In conclusion, PM Modi’s speech showed India’s strong focus on moving forward, creating new opportunities, and tackling global challenges while keeping its people at the heart of every decision.
