India lost badly to New Zealand in the first Test match in Bengaluru on Sunday. However, Rohit Sharma's team still holds the top spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) Points Table. Despite the defeat, India has a percentage of 74.24. New Zealand moved up to fourth place with a percentage of 44.44 after winning their first Test in India in 36 years. Australia is in second place with 62.50, while Sri Lanka is third with 55.56. Pakistan is eighth with 25.93, and West Indies are at the bottom.
New Zealand managed to handle a tough bowling spell from Jasprit Bumrah and beat India by eight wickets. This win ended their 36-year wait for a Test victory in India. The last time New Zealand won a Test in India was in 1988, when John Wright's team beat India by 136 runs in Mumbai.
