J&K: Two Soldiers Injured in Terrorist Attack on Army Vehicle Near Gulmarg

Two Indian soldiers were injured after terrorists attacked an army vehicle in Jammu and Kashmir’s Gulmarg area on Thursday evening. The attack happened in the Botapathri area, where terrorists opened fire on the vehicle, according to reports from PTI.

Ongoing Terrorist Attacks in Kashmir

This attack comes just hours after a labourer, Pritam Singh from Uttar Pradesh, was shot and injured by terrorists in the Batgund Tral area of Pulwama district. Security forces quickly reached the spot after the incident. This was the third attack on non-local workers in the Kashmir Valley in the past week.

Political leaders have strongly condemned these terror attacks, urging the government to take serious action to protect migrant workers and prevent such violent incidents.

Recent Deadly Attacks

On October 20, a deadly attack shook the region when terrorists targeted a tunnel construction site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway in Ganderbal district. A doctor and six construction workers lost their lives in that attack.

J&K Chief Minister Meets PM Modi in Delhi

The attack near Gulmarg occurred just as the newly-elected Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, was in New Delhi to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Abdullah handed over a resolution seeking the early restoration of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir. During their 30-minute meeting, they discussed security concerns and ongoing development projects in the region.

Earlier in the day, Abdullah also met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. He presented a traditional Kashmiri shawl to the Prime Minister as a symbol of goodwill.
