’Lion's blood runs in my veins’: Zeeshan Siddique vows to continue fight after father Baba Siddique’s murder

Congress MLA Zeeshan Siddique, son of the late NCP leader Baba Siddique, said on Sunday that he is "ready" and "determined" to face any challenges. This statement came shortly after the Mumbai Police found a photo of him on the phone of one of the suspects arrested for his father's murder.

"They killed my father, but they forget—he was like a lion, and I have his strength in me. He stood for justice and fought for change with courage. Now, those who attacked him are coming after me, thinking they've won. But I tell them: I have his strength, and I'm still here, not afraid or broken. They took my father, but I will carry on his fight. This is far from over. Today, I stand where he stood: alive, determined, and ready," Zeeshan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Baba Siddique was shot outside his office in Nirmal Nagar earlier this month. He was hit twice in the chest and taken to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, where he died from his injuries on October 12.
