"Trump Says Google’s Sundar Pichai Praised His McDonald's Visit, Calls It ‘Biggest Thing on Google’"
In a recent appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast, U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump claimed that Google CEO Sundar Pichai called him to praise his recent McDonald's visit. Trump said, "I went to McDonald's last week, and Sundar himself called to say, ‘This McDonald's visit is one of the biggest things Google has seen in years!'” Trump went on to call Pichai a "great guy" and added that Pichai was enthusiastic, saying, “This is one of the biggest things we’ve ever had on Google. It’s really hit.”
This positive interaction with Pichai is notable because Trump has previously accused Google of hiding search results about him. He said he had reached out to Pichai in the past to discuss his concerns.
Why Did Donald Trump Go to McDonald’s?
Donald Trump stopped by a McDonald's in Pennsylvania as a campaign move to compare himself to Vice President Kamala Harris, his opponent. Dressed in an apron, he even helped out by working at the fry station, serving food to customers. Trump joked, “I’ve now worked here 15 minutes more than Kamala Harris ever did,” pointing to Harris’s past remarks about her experience working at McDonald’s. Trump went further, saying, “She lied about working here. The manager told me they have no record of her working at McDonald's.”
