AI Won't Take Jobs, But It Will Change Them, Says Flex CEO

How AI Will Change Jobs and Boost Economies: Insights from Flex CEO

Revathi Advaithi, the CEO of Flex, discussed the effects of artificial intelligence (AI) on jobs at a recent conference. She explained that while AI might not directly cause people to lose their jobs, it will change the types of jobs people do. Instead of replacing workers, AI will assist them and help improve their skills.

Advaithi believes that the use of AI will make businesses more productive, which will help the economy grow. She stated, "I do not think that AI will significantly impact the overall number of jobs." She sees AI as a helper that can make our lives easier.

One area where AI will make a big difference is healthcare. Advaithi said, "AI is reshaping our lives... especially in healthcare, which is an area that's barely seen its true potential yet."

The automotive industry will also change with AI, according to Advaithi. In the next 5 to 10 years, cars will be able to make intelligent choices, like where to stop and which way to turn.

Advaithi also talked about machine learning, which allows computers to quickly handle large amounts of data. This technology helps businesses monitor their products better than ever before.

However, she cautioned that there's still a lot of work needed to fully harness AI. "Many tools we've used in factories don’t work well together," she noted. She believes that while AI is exciting and transformative, it will take time for it to fully change industries.
