Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh Reveal First Photo of Baby Girl, Name Her "Dua"

Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have introduced their baby daughter to the world, sharing a sweet photo and her name: Dua Padukone Singh. Explaining the name, they wrote, “Dua, meaning a Prayer. She is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude. - Deepika & Ranveer.”

Deepika and Ranveer, who starred together in hit films like Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and 83, welcomed Dua a day after Deepika was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai. They shared the news on Instagram with a simple message: "Welcome Baby Girl! 8.9.2024."

The couple received a warm outpouring of love from their Bollywood friends. Alia Bhatt responded with heart emojis, while Arjun Kapoor shared his excitement, calling the baby “the queen.” Ananya Panday, Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Sonakshi Sinha, and Dia Mirza were among many who sent their love and congratulations to the new parents.

Recently, the couple visited the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai to offer prayers, ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Deepika, 38, and Ranveer, 39, married in a private ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, in 2018. They announced they were expecting in February.

Both actors have stayed busy in their careers. This Friday, they make a special appearance together in Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Ajay Devgn.
