K-drama star Song Joong Ki is getting ready for his new movie, Bogota: City of the Lost. He recently honored late actor Lee Sun Kyun, known for his role in the famous movie Parasite, during a radio show.

Lee Sun Kyun was found dead at the age of 48 in December 2023. His unexpected passing shocked everyone. On MBC FM4U’s show Perfect Day Lee Sang Soon, Song Joong Ki shared fond memories of Lee and expressed his sadness about the loss.

During the radio show, Song said he really loves the song “Grown Ups” from the drama My Mister, which many fans adore. He mentioned, “I wanted everyone to hear this beautiful song.” Because of Lee’s passing, Song has started watching My Mister again to remember him. He said, “I miss my dear brother Lee Sun Kyun so much.”

Lee Sun Kyun’s death on December 27 in Seoul was heartbreaking. An investigation suggests he might have died by suicide. Before his passing, Lee was under police scrutiny for alleged drug use. He gained global fame from the film Parasite, which made history as the first non-English movie to win the Best Picture award at the Oscars in 2020.

This October, Lee was honored with the Korean Film Achievement Award at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), where a video tribute celebrated his life and work. Song Joong Ki and actress Ha Yoon Kyung were seen trying to hold back tears as they remembered Lee’s incredible career.

On a personal note, Song Joong Ki, after marrying British actress Katie Louise Saunders in 2023, is now a proud father of two. He shared, “I feel more happiness than ever. Life is full.” He thanked everyone that both his son and daughter are healthy and described his life as very fulfilled.
