Hansal Mehta Calls out Naga Vamsi’s Arrogance Over Pushpa 2 Comments

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta had something to say after producer Naga Vamsi claimed that “Mumbai didn’t sleep” when “Pushpa 2: The Rule” made over ₹80 crore in just one day. Hansal reacted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by sharing a clip of Vamsi at a producers’ meeting with others, including Boney Kapoor.

In his tweet, Hansal called Vamsi “arrogant” and also mentioned that Vamsi’s new hit film, “Lucky Bhaskar,” has taken many ideas from Hansal’s own series, “Scam 1992 – The Harshad Mehta Story” and “Scam 2003: The Telgi Story.” He wrote, “Since this person Mr. Naga Vamsi was being so arrogant, I want to point out that his latest hit has borrowed ideas from the Scam series. I’m happy that stories travel, and films in different languages can succeed.”

Hansal continued, saying, “Everyone wins. No one is better than the other. This kind of thinking is harmful. Arrogance is worse. To all the people who are angry with me – I’ll see you in 2025.”

What did Naga Vamsi say about “Pushpa 2”? He talked about Allu Arjun’s movie and said that “the whole of Mumbai didn’t sleep” because it earned over ₹80 crore in one day. Boney Kapoor added that this number was only from the Hindi-speaking areas.

Earlier, Hansal had tweeted, “Chill dude, whoever you are… I live in Mumbai. I’ve been sleeping really well.”
