Kangana Ranaut Talks Controversies and Her Film ‘Emergency

Kangana Ranaut is a bold actress who often speaks her mind. In a recent chat, she talked about the controversies in her career, stating that many problems started because of comments made by men. Kangana believes it’s not fair that women’s worth is often linked to the men they meet.

In her new movie, Emergency, she shares the story of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. During her research for the film, Kangana was shocked to learn that people focused on Indira’s personal relationships instead of her work as a leader. She exclaimed, “Why should a woman be defined by the men in her life? That’s just wrong.” Kangana wanted to make sure her film focused on Indira as a prime minister and her achievements and failures, rather than her private life.

Kangana added that it feels degrading for women to be judged by what men say about them. She shared her own experiences, saying a lot of the controversies surrounding her came from what men claimed about her, which overshadowed her talent as an artist.

In 2016, actress Hrithik Roshan accused Kangana of impersonating him in emails, which led to a heated dispute. A few years back, actor Adhyayan Suman, who used to date Kangana, made shocking claims about their relationship.

Kangana’s film, Emergency, has finally hit theaters after some delays. In this movie, she plays Indira Gandhi, focusing on the crucial years of her leadership, particularly the Emergency and Operation Bluestar. The film also features stars like Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, and Mahima Chaudhary, showcasing key moments of India’s history.
