London – Actress Lily-Rose Depp recently opened up about how she felt after watching her dad Johnny Depp’s movie “Edward Scissorhands” when she was just three years old. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, Lily mentioned that seeing her father play Edward, a man with scissors for hands, was really upsetting for her. However, it wasn’t Edward’s strange appearance that scared her, but how mean everyone was to him in the film.
She said, “I was traumatized by it. Not because I thought he was scary, but because everyone was being so mean to him and I got really upset.” Lily doesn’t remember much from her early childhood, but this movie scene stuck with her.
Now 25 years old, Lily-Rose is starring in a new gothic horror film called “Nosferatu,” which is inspired by a silent film from 1922. This movie is about a young woman, Ellen, who faces the terrifying vampire Nosferatu in 19th-century Germany. Lily compared her dad’s character, Edward, to Nosferatu, saying, “Edward’s the good guy and Nosferatu’s kind of the bad guy, but I feel a little empathy for Nosferatu.”
Lily also expressed her interest in darker movie genres, saying, “As an actor, you hope that your role will have depth so you can explore all its layers. The most complicated stories are the most interesting.”
The film “Nosferatu,” which also features stars like Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney, and Willem Dafoe, will be released in India on January 10.
