Supermodel Bella Hadid is heartbroken after her childhood home in Malibu was destroyed by wildfires in Los Angeles. These wildfires have killed people and burned thousands of homes, causing many residents to flee for safety. Bella posted a picture on her Instagram showing her old house, which was once owned by her mom, Yolanda Hadid, engulfed in flames.
In her emotional message, Bella shared a photo of her childhood bedroom, saying, “Thanks to everyone reaching out. I will miss the memories we made in this house and the love my mama put into building it. I also think of my friends who lost their homes with all their belongings and memories.” Bella plans to share GoFundMe links to help her friends rebuild their lives after losing their homes of many years. She ended her message by sending love and support to everyone affected by the fires.
Another celebrity, Dua Lipa, is also affected by the wildfires. She shared a video on Instagram calling the situation “absolutely devastating” and “scary.” Dua expressed her thoughts for her friends and others in the city who had to evacuate. She promised to share links for people who want to help shelters for those who lost their homes.
In response to the wildfires, US President Joe Biden said that the federal government will pay for six months of protection efforts in Southern California. He mentioned that they are sending firefighters and other resources to help fight the fires and keep people safe. So far, the fires have killed at least six people and forced nearly 180,000 out of their homes. The Palisades Fire has burned over 17,234 acres and destroyed around 1,000 buildings, making it one of the worst fires in Los Angeles history.
