Famous actress Zeenat Aman recently talked about her life in the Hindi film world. She mentioned how things have changed but also pointed out that women still earn less than men for the same work. At a special event called The Hollywood Reporter India’s Women In Entertainment awards, where she received an Iconic Artist award, Zeenat thanked everyone for their support. She said, “It’s great to celebrate women in entertainment, but we should remember to celebrate all women.”
Zeenat recalled how, over 50 years ago, she was often the only woman on movie sets. She is happy to see more women in filmmaking today, but she also encouraged everyone to keep pushing for equal pay. She said, “You’ve made progress, but let’s work for equal pay together! Cheers to that!”
On a work note, Zeenat will soon appear in a new Netflix series called The Royals, starring alongside Ishan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar. She is also in a movie called Bun Tikki, directed by Faraz Arif Ansari, which features Shabana Azmi and Abhay Deol.
