On Tuesday, the Kerala High Court decided not to stop the screening of the movie “L2: Empuraan.” This was in response to a request from Vijeesh Vettam, a former member of the BJP in Thrissur. The party has since suspended him for taking this action.
Vettam claimed that the movie promotes harmful ideas and could create religious hatred among people. He mentioned that he filed this complaint as a personal matter, and he believes the film aims to divide communities and make money.
Even after being suspended, Vettam said he would stay with the BJP party. The BJP’s Thrissur district president, Justin Jacob, explained that the party took action because Vettam filed the complaint, which they viewed as going against their policies. The BJP plans to investigate this situation further.
